The Tirupati Balaji Temple (Sri Venkateswara Temple) is a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site in Andhra Pradesh, India. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (an incarnation of Vishnu), it is renowned as one of the world's wealthiest and most visited places of worship, renowned for its Dravidian architecture and massive daily pilgrim turnout. Temple of Seven Hills: The seven peaks (Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrushabhadri, Narayanadri, Venkatadri) symbolize the seven heads of Adisesha, the divine serpent.
The Tirupati Balaji Temple operates on a near 24-hour daily schedule, running for approximately 21 to 23 hours a day depending on the rituals performed. The temple is open seven days a week, every day of the year.
Free darshan is always available, but paid darshan and seva tickets provide priority access and allow devotees to participate in specific rituals that mark different stages of Lord Venkateswara’s divine day. Seva tickets are limited and often sell out quickly, especially for popular rituals like Suprabhatam and Kalyanotsavam. Devotees are advised to book well in advance, particularly during festivals
